Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun
Violence: Lock Up Toddlers!

Published on October 16th, 2016 - BradyCampaign

Last year toddlers shot and killed more Americans than terrorists. If we really want to keep America safe let's pass common sense gun laws. Or start thinking of other options -- like getting rid of toddlers. See more at ToddlersKill.org

It sounds crazy, but it just might work! Seriously, WTF? I'm thinking this odd ad reflects the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence's desperate need to overcome their media marginalization -- what with anti-ballistic billionaire bully boy Michael Bloomberg doing the heavy lifting for civilian disarmament (pouring millions into "universal background checks" state referenda and pro-gun control pols).

That said, I've noticed that all of the anti-gun groups have faded into the proverbial woodwork in the run-up to the presidential election. I can't remember the last time I read a story that quoted Shannon Watts, doyenne of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America. Or a spokesfolk from Everytown for Gun Safety (both wholly-owned subsidiaries of Michael Bloomberg Anti-Gun Astro Turf Inc.). ......

Perhaps here we can almost enjoy some humor, but in fact the desperation of the Brady Campaign seems to shine through brightly. It's hard to see quite what they are hoping to achieve, other than just an "attention-getter" to remind people that they are still here and reinvigorate their efforts. Bloomberg and Co could make way better use of their money. On a serious note - proper storage of firearms is essential and there is zero excuse for children getting hold of any weapon, loaded or otherwise.
